Starlight View Puli

GROOMING
One thing we love about Pulik are their coats. You can’t see one without noticing the cords (controlled matting that happens around a half to an inch away from the skin).
The coat is very different than other breeds as it forms on its own in one way or another. Every puli has it's own cord type almost like a finger print.
It is very versatile. You can keep the coat in its natural form corded, and in about 3 to 4 years it will be floor length. Yes it does take that long to grow.
Too much coat? Don’t worry; you can also keep the coat corded in a “bob” form, in which the coat is 3 to 5 inches, preserving the look of the puli.
If all of this is too hard to keep maintained, you can get your puli trimmed in a poodle style. Remember this requires just as much work due to the coat will continue to try to form cords for its whole life. Here at Starlight View Puli we love the coat in any form. If you need any help feel free to contact us and we will help you with whatever style you decide to do.
